First Steps

In the past week I have been very proactive, almost militant with my efforts to clear my debt- my plan of action is to wring every last drop of dinero im owed, so-

• I applied for my university's special fund, apparently as a slightly mature (Ha) student with priority debts i should be eligable for more cash, the only problem is, i dont know how much.....im expecting about £500 but anything upto £3000 is possible (ill know in 4 weeks or less)

• Completed my (long overdue) tax return for 06-07, and discovered that due to my bizzare working patterns im OWED about £600 (by my calculations).....i still need to get a few more bits of info before i can send it off.....and i can imagine its going to be a long struggle getting it back.

• Also completed and sent off my 07-08 tax return....yet again, the buggers owe me almost £800....this should be easier to get, i hope.

• Not to forget, I sent a lovely letter to Natwest, demanding that they refund the payment protection insurance for the loan i took out with them 2 years go- my argument is they missold the bastard to me, not asking about my asthma.......worth a shot for another £500
  

So, thats a total of- £2400!!!! PARTY TIME! just kidding, it'll all go on paying off vodafone, the tax man, overdraft and some unpaid NI.

I dont know when its coming, but its a start. Shows you have to really look and grab whats on offer, it wont find you.

In the mean time, I still only have £20 to last the month.
